Blue and gold will be the colors of the day on Friday as the public is invited to celebrate the new Mattituck High School track, with a ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for 6 p.m.
The high school is located at 15125 Main Road in Mattituck.
Present at the event will be the Mattituck board of education, Superintendent Dr. Anne Smith, and school officials, as well as Mattituck’s Class of 2015, and kindergarten students from the class of 2027, who will run a commemorative lap.
During the day, a blue and gold rally will be held as well as a flag football game at 2:45 p.m. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be followed by a bonfire and pep rally, which takes place at 7 p.m. and the Tucker Bowl, which follows at 8 p.m.
