Jessie Skirel of Greenport (formerly of Cutchogue) died Sept. 27 at San Simeon by the Sound. She was 93 years old.
Born on Sept. 29, 1920 in Southampton, she was the daughter of Victor and Alexandria Nakelski. She was a homemaker, and helped her late husband Julius on their farm. According to family, she loved being outdoors and tending to her strawberry patch.
Predeceased by her husband in 1990, she is survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family received visitors on Sept. 30 at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home. A funeral service was held Oct. 1 at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church in Cutchogue. Interment followed at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cutchogue.
