Cops: Woman cuffed for DWI, alleged road rage incident in Laurel

A Lake Ronkonkoma woman was busted in Laurel Saturday night after an alleged road rage incident in Riverhead led to a crash and she was found to be driving drunk, police said.

According to Southold Town Police, Jennifer M. McGuigan, 29, was arrested at 7:24 p.m. on Franklinville Road after authorities responded to a “possible road rage” incident.

Police spoke to McGuigan, who stated she’d been involved in a a crash with a second car in Riverhead, police said.

She was found to be intoxicated, arrested, and charged with aggravated DWI, a misdemeanor, police said. McGuigan was processed and held at Southold police headquarters for arraignment, police said.
