Margaret Taylor, lifelong resident of Riverhead, died February 27, 2015 at the Riverhead Care Center. She was 98 years old.
She was born to William and Maggie (Brown) Booker on June 24, 1916 in Mattituck.
Taylor worked as a house cleaner, but could often be found knitting, singing or reading the bible, activities which she greatly enjoyed.
Predeceased by her husband, John, son John Jr. and granddaughter, Adrienne, Taylor is survived her her grandson John III of Virginia, her sisters Thelma Brown of Riverhead and Eva Riley of Connecticut as well as five great-grandchildren.
Arrangements gave been entrusted to McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home. A graveside prayer service and burial of cremains will take place Saturday, March 7 at 2 p.m. at Riverhead Cemetery.
