Ronald F. Janis of Riverhead died February 27, 2015. He was 70 years old.
Born on June 5, 1944 in Greenport, he was the son of William and Ruth Janis.
He worked at MacLeods Mobile Home Park as maintenance man and served in the U.S. Army from 1967-70. He enjoyed gardening, lawn-care and playing the lottery.
Janis is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Jennifer Schultz and her husband John of North Carolina, brother Daniel of Florida, sister Joan Deslauriers of Florida, sister-in-law Joan Nusspickel of New Jersey and grandchildren Steven and Kimberly Cramond of North Carolina.
Arrangements have been entrusted to MacLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Wounded Warriors Project or American Cancer Society.
