Marjory E. Llewelyn of Mattituck died at her home on Sunday, March 29th at the age of 74.
She was born in Greenport, NY on December 13, 1940 to John and Elizabeth (nee Rowland) Hiddink and was a graduate of Greenport High School
On June 28, 1970, she married Leonard J. Llewellyn at Our Lady of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church and together they made their home in Mattituck.
For over 30 years she was a lab technician at the Plum Island Animal Disease Center.
In the community, she was active in the Mattituck Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary where she was the long-time secretary, Mattituck-Laurel Historical Society, Mattituck Chamber of Commerce and the Friends of the Mattituck-Laurel Library.
In her free time, she enjoyed genealogy.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 1 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Homes in Mattituck.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 2nd at 10 a.m. at DeFriest-Grattan. Deacon Jeff Sykes will officiate. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery in Cutchogue.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Mattituck Fire Department Rescue Squad or Mattituck Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary would be appreciated.
