A Greenport woman and her little girl were reported missing yesterday, according to Southold Town Police Chief Martin Flatley.

Flatley said a missing person report was filed yesterday regarding Iona Costello and her daughter, “who went on a trip to New York City and have not been heard from since March 30, 2015. Their family has been unable to contact her. At this time there is no reason to suspect any misconduct.”

Emily Costello has been missing since March 30 with her mother Iona, police and family said.

While the police department has not yet released a photo or missing poster, friends on Facebook have circulated Costello’s photo, stating that she was last seen on March 30 when she picked her child up from school, headed to New York to see some shows, and that her car was found in a New York City parking garage.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Southold Town Police at 631-765-2600.
