Police: At least one sent to hospital after Southold smack-up

At least one driver was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after an accident on Route 25 in Southold this afternoon, police said.

According to Southold Town police at the scene, the two-car accident occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. on Route 25 near Port of Egypt Marine when one driver failed to yield the right of way.

Southold Fire Department Rescue responded to the scene and transported at least one of the drivers to Eastern Long Island Hospital, police said. No injuries appeared to be life-threatening, police said.
