William McKavish of Riverhead died on September 28, 2015 at Peconic Bay Medical Center. He was 50 years old.
Born on March 20, 1965 in Southampton, he was the son of John and Beverly McKavish. He graduated from Riverhead High School and worked locally as a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his daughter, Sarah.
He was predeceased by his parents and two sisters, Carol Porter and Winnie Kess. He is survived by his daughter, Sarah McKavish; sisters Cathy Porter, Beverly Kuhnen and Evelyn Conklin, and brother John McKavish.
Memorial visitation hours will be held on Sunday, October 4 from 4 to 6 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home. Donations in his memory may be made to Maureen’s Haven.
