The Tuckers took it home last night, as the Mattituck girls varsity volleyball team won the county championship at Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood.
Facing off against Babylon, they won three out of the four games, with scores of 25-7, 25-15, 24-26, and 25-13 in the Suffolk County Class C tournament.
Proud captains of the team are Carly Doorhy, Erin Feeney, and Meghan McKillop.
On Saturday, the team will head back to the SCCC campus at Brentwood to vie for the Long Island championship title, and, if they win, they’ll head to the state competition.
