Margaret J. O’Neill of Calverton died Nov. 28, 2015. She was 86 years old.
Born in Brooklyn on April 8, 1929, she was the daughter of Bridget (Maguire) and John O’Donnell.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed sewing.
Predeceased by her husband James in 1995, she is survived by her children, Catherine Welsh of Jamesport, James Jr. of Cayman Islands, John of West Hartford, Edward of Riverhead, Thomas of Riverhead, Peggy of West Hartford, Gerard of Scarsdale, Owen of Riverhead, Anne of Pittsburgh and Rose Tancredi of Jupiter, Florida. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, Nov. 30, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home, 336 Marcy Avenue, Riverhead. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church in Wading River. Interment will follow at Wading River Cemetery.
