Margaret Lupton White of Cutchogue died January 24, 2016 in Bradenton, Florida. She was 101 years old.
Born in Mattituck on August 30, 1914, she was the daughter of Robert M. and Virginia (Craven) Lupton.
She married Kendall C. White on June 30, 1938 in Mattituck. She was an avid golfer, bowler and bridge player and a former member of the Canterbury Golf Club in Beachwood, Ohio and the North Fork Country Club in Cutchogue.
She was predeceased by her husband in 1978, by her sons, Edward L. White in 2014 and Robert M. White in 2015 and by a grandson JR Tippery in 2003. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Anne Wickham, Virginia Wickham and Millie Northridge and brother, John M.Lupton and Robert M. Lupton.
She is survived by her son, Kendall G. White of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; two daughters, Margaret W. Gravelle of Oshkosh, Wis. and Peregrine Susan E. White of Bradenton, Fla.; two daughters-in-law, Kathy Eliscu of Westbrook Maine and Kate Altman of New Suffolk; her sister Libbie Hammel of Pepin, Wis.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granchild and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Funeral services, which will be determined at a later date, will be in the care of Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue.
