Felix Pierzchanowski, 92

2016_0524_pierzchanowskiFelix Pierzchanowski, formerly of Riverhead, died May 10, 2016 in the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center Hospice. He was 92 years old.

He was born September 5, 1923 in Riverhead to Stanley and Anna Pierzchanowski.

He served in World War II with General George Patton’s Third Army in Europe.

His lifelong occupation was a cement truck driver for Suffolk Cement Products. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, tinkering and selling his prized home-grown tomatoes from his self-serve stand on his front lawn.

He was predeceased by his brothers Maryon ‘Mike’ and John and his sisters Stephanie ‘Stella’ Wienclawski, Harriet Lucas, Florence Drobny, Stella Kanuck and Theresa Chabot. He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years Dorothy (Goreleski), his children Barbara Tuthill, David, Karen Schlender (Carl), Philip (Nancy) and Paul (Lenea), his sister Anna Aleksander (John), by 10 grandchildren: Loretta, Vanessa (Richard), Kristin (Hank), Matthew, Melissa, Jessica (Brian), Danille, David, Aurora and Natasha, and by seven great-grandchildren, Trinity, Aubrey, Liam, Hunter, Rory, Caitlyn and Jake, and numerous friends and relatives.

A memorial Mass will be held on May 28, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Isidore R.C. Church. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial donations to St. Isidore’s building renovation fund.
