Antone Skrezec Sr of Riverhead died on June 13, 20116 in Peconic Bay Medical Center. He was 91 years old.
He was born May 8, 1925 in Riverhead to Michael and Kathleen Skrezec.
He served in the United States Army and worked for the New York Telephone Company.
In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, hunting, golf, and wildlife. He was a member of the Peconic River Sportsman’s Club, the Riverhead Elks and the Riverhead Loyal Order of the Moose.
Predeceased by his wife Anna in 2005, he is survived by his sons Ronald of Riverhead and Florida and Antone Jr of Mt. Sinai, and his daughter Maryann of Flanders.
The family will receive visitors Thursday, June 16 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be said on June 17 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Isidore R.C. Church. Interment will follow in Calverton National Cemetery.
