A Mattituck man was arrested at the Strawberry Festival Friday night after he grabbed an 18-year-old woman’s buttocks and verbally threatened another person.
Police said Thomas Talbot, age 20, was intoxicated. He was charged with forcible touching, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and harassment, according to a police press release.
An officer at the festival received a report late Friday night of an intoxicated man who had “inappropriately grabbed… a female’s buttocks and made a verbal threat to another person,” according to the police report.
The investigating officer located Talbot and said he began causing a disturbance at the crowded festival and became uncooperative with officers, struggling with them as he was placed under arrest.
Talbot was transported to Southold Town Police Department headquarters where he was processed and held for morning arraignment, police said in the press release issued late Saturday afternoon.
