Southold UFSD Board of Education held its yearly reorganizational meeting last night in the district auditorium.
Paulette Ofrias was reelected president, along with vice president Judi Fouchet. Ofrias then led the rest of the meeting, which consisted mostly of approvals of appointments such as other board officers, the school doctor, attorneys and committee appointments.
After the reorganization meeting, the board held a brief regular meeting.
DONATIONS
The board accepted the donations on the agenda — a gift of two exercise bikes to the elementary school by the PTA, and a $1,974.22 donation by Lifetouch.
NJROTC FIELD TRIPS APPROVED
The group will travel to SUNY Maritime College in October of November (date TBA); Bethel, Connecticut on November 19, 2016; Linden, New Jersey on January 16, 2017; Norfolk Naval Station, Virginia from February 20-23, 2017; North Rockland High School in February 2017 (date TBA) and Quantico and Fredericksburg, Virginia from April 6-8, 2017.
