Mattituck defeated Southold 53-47 at Mattituck High School yesterday.
The Tuckers came out hard, scoring three pointers at will, and driving the lane for inside shots. Southold got off to a slow start, but as the game progressed, things began to mesh.
The second half saw Southold struggle to get a shot away, as Mattituck was swarming on defense.
Overall, it was a good game, with both teams making some costly errors. Mattituck held on for the win.
