A Greenport man was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated following a two-car crash on Hummel Avenue in Southold Friday evening.
Police said Edwin Monroy was driving drunk when his vehicle collided with another on Hummel Avenue at about 5:40 p.m. Friday.
The driver of the other vehicle, a 45-year-old Florida man, was taken to Eastern Long Island Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.
Monroy was arrested and taken to Southold Town Police headquarters, where he was held for arraignment, according to a police press release.
