Police have released security camera images of the man who robbed Magic Fountain Ice Cream in Mattituck earlier this month.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
The robbery took place on Friday, January 13 around 12:15 p.m., when a man entered the Main Road ice cream shop, displayed a gun and demanded cash. The cashier complied and the man fled northbound on Factory Avenue, according to police.
The suspect is described as white, between 5 foot 7 inches and 5 foot 9 inches tall, with a thin build and light facial hair. He was wearing a camouflage jacket, gray pants and a Chicago Bulls hat.
Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
