Shirley Jane Fox of Riverside died Feb. 12, 2017 at the Kanas Center for Hospice Care in Quiogue. She was 79 years old.
She was born on March 27, 1937 in Southampton to George W. Fox and Flora B. Boles.
She earned an associate degree and worked for the Internal Revenue Service as a clerk.
Predeceased by her siblings Albert, Ernest, George, Donald and Ethel Fox and Mildred Gibson, she is survived by siblings Florence Drexel of Flanders, Patricia of Riverside, David of Flanders, Thomas of Mattituck and Robert of Flanders.
The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, Feb. 15 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Tuthill-Mangano Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 16 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jerry Halpin of the North Shore Christian Church officiating. Interment at Riverhead Cemetery to follow.
