Southold Police report two DWI arrests Saturday

Southold Town Police report a pair of DWI arrests this weekend.

One man was charged with driving while intoxicated after a crash on Oaklawn Avenue in Southold Saturday night at around 8 o’clock, police said in a press release yesterday.

Adam L. Hendrickson, 24, of Peconic, left the scene of the crash and was located by police on Jockey Creek Drive, according to the police report. He was found to be intoxicated and arrested, police said.

Another man was arrested Saturday afternoon after an off-duty cop observed him failing to maintain his lane of travel on Route 25 and failing to signal before making a right turn onto Bray Avenue, police said in a press release issued early this morning.

Gary Krogman, 55, of Mattituck, was arrested for driving while intoxicated after he failed sobriety tests, police said. Open containers of alcohol were also found inside his vehicle, according to the report.

Both men were held at Southold Town Police headquarters for arraignment in Southold Justice Court, police said.
