Nellie Doroski of Greenport died March 8, 2017 at San Simeon by the Sound. She was 89 years old.
She was born on April 24, 1927 in Sag Harbor to Stanley and Victoria (Just) Zelinski.
She worked for Hazeltine in Riverhead. She was a past member of the Mattituck Fire Department’s Ladies’ Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed doing community service.
Predeceased by her husband Frank, four siblings and her parents, she is survived by her daughters Patricia Broad of Buffalo, New York and Doreen Ashmore of Florida, her sons Gene of Mattituck, Thomas of Peconic and Anthony of Illinois, six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Interment was at Washington Memorial Park in Mount Sinai, New York. Coster-Heppner Funeral Home assisted the family.
Memorial donations may be made to the Mattituck Fire Department or the Cutchogue Fire Department.
