Anthony T. Zarzecki of Cutchogue died March 25, 2017 at the Acadia Center for Rehabilitation. He was 88 years old.
He was born on April 18, 1928 in Cutchogue to Joseph and Mary (Kobjenska) Zarzecki.
He graduated from Mattituck High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954.
On June 17, 1972, he married Juneann Raush at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church.
He was a maintenance worker at the Plum Island Animal Research Center and in his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time as a bayman.
He is survived by his wife Juneann of Cutchogue, his brother David of Mattituck and his sisters Mary Kirwin, Josephine Sorenson and Nellie Fabigno.
The family will receive visitors on April 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Coster-Heppner Funeral Home. A service is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery.
