There will be a community-wide effort to clean Bailie Beach this weekend Saturday and Sunday, April 1 and 2. This is not an organized event, so you can volunteer at any time during the weekend. Bring a friend and spend some time together picking up trash and beautifying the shoreline. A dumpster will be placed at the end of Bailie Beach Road. Bring your own garbage bags and gloves.
Surfrider Foundation’s Eastern Long Island Chapter is hosting a beach clean up at Mattituck Inlet Sunday, April 2 beginning at 11 a.m. There’s a lot of spring cleaning to do in the environment, and ridding our local beaches of harmful marine debris is a great start.
