A Mattituck man crossing Main Road after getting off a bus was hit by a car and seriously injured Sunday night, according to Southold Town Police.
Police said Ismael Ochoa, 50, was crossing Main Road in Mattituck after getting off the S92 bus at about 7:45 p.m. Sunday when he crossed into the path of a westbound 2011 Acura SUV operated by Alan J. Horowitz, 58, of Syosset.
Ochoa suffered serious injuries, police said. He was treated by Mattituck Fire Department Rescue and transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center.
No further information about his condition was immediately available.
