Whether you take your chowder red or white, you’re sure to find more than one you love at New Suffolk’s ninth annual Chowderfest. The event is scheduled for May 27 from noon to 3 p.m. and will be held at New Suffolk’s waterfront area. The rain date for the event is May 29.

According to the New Suffolk Waterfront Fund, a variety of chowders will be available for patrons to vote on for their favorites. In addition, there will be a classic American BBQ lunch, face-painting and other child-friendly events, live music by Who Are Those Guys, a Chinese auction and more than 50 varieties of perennials for sale.

Shuttle buses will be available to take festival-goers to and from Wickham’s Fruit Farm located at 28700 Main Rd. in Cutchogue to the waterfront.

Tickets are $25 for adults and children under 12 are free.
