Famed fashion designer Michael Kors paid a visit to Greenport recently — and gave the highest praise to a local business.
Rena Wilhelm, owner of the White Weathered Barn on Front Street, said New York designer Michael Kors paid a visit to her shop on June 22 and bought some handmade soaps and lavender linen water.
On Monday, she received a call from one of Kors’ associates, saying he loved the soaps and wanted more, as well as some “great twine” he’d used to wrap gifts.
Wilhelm, an interior designer and fine artist, and her husband Jason find inspiraiton in nature for their creativity and the products avaiable in their shop.
