The threat of pouring rain didn’t put a damper on the huge crowd that turned out for the third annual “Pour the Core” hard cider festival, held rain or shine at the Peconic Bay Winery on Main Road in Cutchogue Saturday.

Wearing rain ponchos and carrying umbrellas, the intrepid and happy tasters crowded into a number of tents to try over 30 types of local and national hard cider brands.

Guests also attended  seminars on Cooking with Cider, Cider Cocktails, and more. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Beer for Brains Foundations, craft beer lovers against brain cancer.

The event was organized by Starfish Junction Productions, a Bay Shore company.
