A 75-year-old Easthampton man spent 20 minutes in the water off Goldsmith’s boatyard yesterday morning before being rescued by a Southold Town bay constable and police officer.

Police said Craig Humphrey was working on his boat at the marina and fell overboard sometime around 11:45 a.m.

Senior Bay Constable Andrew Epple and Police Officer Peter Onufrak pulled Humphrey out of the water and onto the dock.

Humphrey was transported by Southold Fire Department to Eastern Long Island Hospital for treatment of hypothermia, police said.
