Alfred “Fred” Geszczynski of Southold died at his home on October 25, 2014. He was 86 years old.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 4, 1928 to Piotr and Sofia (nee Rokicka) Geszczynski.
He was a retired floor covering specialist who lived in N. Babylon and Brooklyn before moving to the North Fork forty years ago.
He had been a daily communicant of Our Lady of Ostrabrama Roman Catholic Church in Cutchogue.
Surviving is a sister Catherine Warno of Baldwin and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by two brothers: John and Ted Geszczynski and a sister Helen Jaskow.
Friends were received on October 31st at the DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. The Liturgy of Christian Burial was celebrated on November 1st at Our Lady of Ostrabrama Roman Catholic Church by Father Stan Wadowski. Interment was in Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery.
