Plates were heaping and crowds were happy at the East Marion Fire Department’s annual fundraiser breakfast today.
Saturday’s frosty snow didn’t stop scores from turning out to enjoy a hot and hearty feast, including French toast, pancakes, bacon, sausage, home fries and fruit — and from scooping up a sure sign of spring, a fresh batch of horseradish.
A full array of great door prizes, T-shirts for sale, and a 50/50 rounded out the fun, with proceeds from the 50/50 being donated to Relay for Life.
The breakfast runs all morning, through 1 p.m.
