Angelo Timpone of Mattituck died at home April 10, 2015. He was 87 years old.
Born in Manhattan on July 13, 1927, he was the son of Charles and Raffaella Timpone. He served in the U.S. Army in 1946 and 1947. He worked as a sub-contracts administrator for Grumman in Bethpage. He lived in Nutley, N.J. and Baldwin prior to moving to Mattituck.
Timpone volunteered at Peconic Bay Medical Center and was a former member of the North Fork Italian American Club.
He was predeceased by his wife Ella in 1998 and daughter Carla in 2004. He is survived by his daughter Debbie Sidlauskas of Mattituck, and sons, Charles of Riverhead and Nicholas of Rahway, New Jersey. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Sunday, April 12, from 5 to 9 p.m. at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home, 32470 Main Road, Cutchogue. A funeral Mass will be offered on Monday, April 13 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 14300 Main Road, Mattituck. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Cutchogue.
Memorial donations may be made to Mattituck Fire Department Rescue Squad.
