Teens looking for something fun to do this week can head out on a scavenger hunt in Greenport.
The North Fork Alliance’s youth advisory council will host the free Scavenger Hunt, which takes place Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Check in begins at 4:30 p.m. at the event table in Mitchell Park.
Teens from the North Fork, Shelter Island and beyond are all invited.
Teens interested in participating can pre-register online at www.northforkalliance.org or by calling 631-477-6821. Pre-registration includes a raffle entry to win an Ipad Mini. Winners of the Scavenger Hunt will receive prizes and all participants will receive goodie bags.
The North Fork Alliance is a drug-free community coalition which strives to reduce substance use among youth of the North Fork; the event is part of the youth advisory council’s efforts to offer the area’s young people fun, safe, and alcohol-free activities.
Information on the North Fork Alliance, Youth Advisory Council, Safe Homes and prevention literature will be available for teens and parents.
