Hudson Hagglund of Riverhead, formerly of Mattituck, died on Aug. 12, 2015 at the Riverhead Care Center. He was 88 years old.
Born in Manhattan, he was the son of Lorezna and Gladys Hagglund.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. He worked as a postal carrier in Riverhead for 30 years, a job which he loved. He was a member of the Southold Seniors and the Southold American Legion. A very sociable man, he loved people and telling jokes, and enjoyed playing chess and bridge.
He was predeceased by his wives, Mary in 1988 and Gloria in 2013, and is survived by his many friends.
Arrangements were made by Coster-Heppner Funeral Home. Interment was on August 14 at Calverton National Cemetery.
