George B. Mason of Southold died on January 19, 2016. He was 60 years old.
He was born on February 3, 1955 in Seaford, NY to George and Shirley (nee Seaman) Mason and attended Seaford schools.
He moved to Southold, with his family, when he was fifteen.
George worked for North Fork Sanitation, John Sepenoski Farm and later drove cabs for Hometown and Island Taxi.
In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles.
He is survived by his daughter Carmen Mason of Greenport; sister and brother-in-law: Loretta and Mark Magno of Southold; long-time friend Andrea Trestrail of Southold; grandchildren Shyanna Jimenez and Ashley Payne; baby Kyah McNeil; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews (especially Jayla and Austin) and his long-time friend: Danny Boyle of Greenport.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 6th at 10:00 a.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. Interment will follow at the Presbyterian Cemetery.
