Mattituck Fire Department held its third annual car show in the old Capital One headquarters parking lot this afternoon.

Both classic and modern cars were on display, including classic vehicles from local fire departments. Members of Mattituck Fire Department served up hamburgers to the crowd at lunch time. Live music was provided by the Black Petals.

The MFD Auxilary held a Chinese auction with donations from Ammiratis, Polywoda Beverage, Nails by Vivian, Napa Auto Parts Cutchoge and Pitted Olive as well as donations from members. The Auxilary was also raffling off a chance to win a roll of “Win for Life” lottery tickets, a scratch-off game offering the chance to win $1,000 a week for the rest of the winner’s life.

Members of Boy Scout Troop 39 were on the scene to help the fire department with anything the fire department needed. The Mattituck Fire Department had sponsored the troop since the 1950s. Members of the troop raised the flag at 12 p.m. in honor of Memorial Day.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Mattituck Fire Department Scholarship Fund.
