Portions of Sound Avenue in Riverhead will be closed to traffic tomorrow for paving by town highway crews, Riverhead Town Highway Superintendent George Woodson said.
Work will begin at about 7 a.m. on Sound Avenue, which will be closed in two spots tomorrow: between Doctors Path and County Road 105 and between Church Lane and Pier Avenue, Woodson said.
All traffic in those areas will be detoured, Woodson said.
As with all paving, work tomorrow is weather-dependent, the highway superintendent said. It will be postponed in the event of rain or if the heat becomes excessive. The area is under a heat advisory tomorrow. If postponed tomorrow, work will be rescheduled for Tuesday, weather permitting.
