Boy Scouts set 27th annual car show

Rev up your Labor Day weekend with a visit to the 27th annual car show sponsored by Southold’s Troop 6 of the Boy Scouts of America.

The event runs from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m on Saturday, September 3. at the Peconic Lane School on Peconic Lane, and includes antique, steam, classic, collector, street rod, custom cars and trucks. Vehicles are limited to 1994 and older models.

Families can also enjoy a picnic area, playground, refreshments and food; bring a blanket. Enjoy your lunch under the tent.

Awards include 100 trophies to  vehicles. Dash plaques will be presented to the first 200 show cars.

Pre-registration show car and driver cost $15, and $20 at the gate. Pre-registered cars prior to 1942 are free. Cars for sale, add $20.

General admission is $5; kids under 12 with parent admission are free.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Southold’s Boy Scout Troop 6.
