Jane Domaleski of Cutchogue died at the Riverhead Care Center on August 21, 2016. She was 92 years old.
She was born on May 6, 1924 at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport to Anna ( Pietrewicz) and Paul Orlowski and was a graduate of Southold High School.
The lifelong Cutchogue resident was a parishioner of Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church and a member of the Sacred Heart Rosary Society.
She relished her family and loved to spend time in her flower garden. She also loved being a farmer’s wife and later on helped to sell strawberries at the “Red Barn” in Cutchogue. Flowers always brought her a sense of joy, said family members.
Predeceased on October 19, 2014 by her husband Anthony and by a daughter Alice in 1989; she is survived by her son John (Karen) Domaleski of Warren, Rhode Island and Karen (Thomas) Helinski of Southold and three grandchildren, Kristen Helinski of Massachussets and Ryan Klauk and Erin Klauk both of California and by a great-grandson.
She was also predeceased by siblings Chester Orlowski, Albert Orlowski and Violet Rosko.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Aug. 24 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Mattituck. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Aug. 25 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Ostrabrama R.C. Church. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery.
