Frederick Schaeffler III of Southold died at Kanas Center for Hospice Care in Quiogue on September 12, 2016 at the age of 87.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 14 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at DeFriest-Grattan Funeral Home in Southold. Southold American Legion services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Funeral services will take place during the evening visitation, officiated by the Reverend Bob Griffin.
The funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Thursday, September 15 at 10 a.m. for interment with United States Navy honors at Calverton National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Kanas Center for Hospice Care would be appreciated.
