The Cutchogue Fire Department’s steak dinner fundraiser is a perennial favorite community event. (see prior story here). This year the annual barbecue will be held on March 4 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the firehouse.

Only 300 tickets are sold and last year was a sellout. Tickets for the dinner are $30 and include a complete steak dinner with baked potato and vegetable, salad, dessert and soda, beer or wine donated by Jason’s Vineyard. Tickets are available for sale at the firehouse on New Suffolk Rd.

In addition to the dinner menu, there will be a 50/50 raffle and raffles for many prizes donated by community merchants.

Last year Chief William Brewer thanked the community for its longtime support. Brewer explained that the dinner is a tremendous team effort on the part of members of the department, the auxiliary and the juniors. He was quick to credit the community for backing the event. He said the support of local businesses and residents has made the annual event such a success.
