Delicous aromas wafted through the night air as traditional specialties were dished up at the annual Mattituck Greek Festival, held at the Transfiguration of Christ Church, Friday night.
The festival, located at 1950 Breakwater Road, features fare including gyros, souvlaki, pastitsio, moussaka, spinach pie, Greek salad, and baklava, along with Greek wines, specialites, rides, games, music, an indoor flea market filled with “Yia Yia’s,” or grandma’s, treasurers.
The Greek festival continues from noon to 11 p.m. on Saturday on Saturday and on Sunday from noon to 7 p.m. Traditional Greek dances are typicaly performed on Saturday night.
