San Simeon By The Sound is proud to announce that Carol Morris, who works in our Recreation Department, has been named March Employee of the Month.
Carol was born in Greenport and lives in Southold with her husband.
In her 37 years of service to San Simeon, Carol “is always extremely organized, constantly moving and puts her heart and soul into everything she does” says co-worker, Mary Karpinski. “She is dedicated and extremely hardworking” adds Margaret DeVito, Director of Recreation. “She is caring and kind.”
Carol began working at San Simeon in the kitchen, moved to Recreation 17 years ago, where she remains to this day. “At San Simeon we all care about each other and share
the good and bad together. It’s like we belong to a big family.”
“In my free time, I always enjoy spending time with my husband, family and friends, shopping and traveling.”
“Since I was a little girl, I always loved helping the elderly. Now my work brings me back every day to help them.”
“I lost my mother a few years ago, and she was more than my mother, she was like my best friend. We did everything together,” Carol shares. “So my advice is enjoy life, every minute of it, while you can.”
