John M. Bredemeyer, Jr., 90, a World War II veteran who served on Guadalcanal, died at his home in Orient on Sunday.
A retired New York City firefighter, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Jeanne, his sons, John M. Bredemeyer III and his wife Beverly of Orient and Eric R. Bredemeyer and his wife Hanne of Florida, as well as
three grandsons, Kristian, William, and Michael, and a granddaughter Emily.
Private services will take place in the future. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Coster-Heppner Funeral Home in Cutchogue.
Memorial donations may be made to the Orient Fire Department or East End Hospice.
