San Simeon By The Sound presents ‘Brown Bag Lunch & Lecture’ series

San Simeon By the Sound has kicked off a “Brown Bag Lunch & Lecture Series,” beginning on Wednesday, April 23, from 1 to 2 p.m., with Amei Wallach’s “Hidden Artists and Art Treasures of the North Fork.”

Next up on the agenda will be Karen Lee, speaking about “Why Organic? Is it Better for You, Safer for You, More Nutritious for You? Discover the Difference.” That presentation takes place on Wednesday, June 4, from 1 to 2 p.m.

Jason Damianos, chief winemaker at Pindar Vineyards in Peconic and son of founder Dan Damianos, will present “The Growing North Fork Wine Industry,” from 1 to 2 p.m. on Aug. 8.

And rounding off the series on Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 1 to 2 p.m. will be John Ross, speaking on “The Evolution of the North Fork as a Culinary Region Equal to Any in the World.”

All four sessions will be held at San Simeon by the Sound, located at 61700 Route 48 in Greenport. The cost is $25 per session, or all four sessions for $90. For tickets, contact San Simeon at 631-477-2110 ext. 252.
