A man driving a car involved in an accident on Main Road in Southold Friday night was intoxicated, police said.
According to Southold Town police, Jacob Riehl, 23, of Southold was arrested at 8:34 p.m. on Route 25 and Tuckers Lane after he was involved in a motor vehicle accident. Upon investigation, police said Riehl was found to be intoxicated. He was arrested and charged with DWI, a misdemeanor. Riehl was transported to Southold Town police headquarters, where he was processed and held for arraignment, police said.
Police at the scene said no injuries were reported in the accident.
