Kids at Oysterponds Elementary School are ready to put on a show as they gear up to present “The Amazing Adventures of Robinson Crusoe” with the Missoula Children’s Theatre.
The show will be performed on Saturday, May 10, at 5:30 p.m. at the Greenport Schools auditorium.
The play is loosely based on a novel by Daniel Defoe.
The Missoula Theatre company has been touring across the United States and as far away as Japan for almost 40 years; this year, traveling teams, including directors, will visit approximately 1,200 communities around the country as they introduce children to live theater.
The group brings everything necessary to put on a show, including sets, lights, props, costumes and makeup — all that’s needed are the young performers. Oysterponds students in grades K through 6 have one week to rehearse for their star turn in the Saturday night performance.
Tickets cost $10 for adults, $7 for seniors, and $5 for kids.
