Friday’s deluge of rain has put a damper on a full slate of Fourth of July activities, including the fireworks spectacular planned for by Greenport’s Relief Hose Co. and Phenix H & L. Co, scheduled to take place at the fire department carnival on Moores Lane at 10 p.m.
The fireworks have been rescheduled until Saturday night, when the regular show was slated to repeat at 10 p.m., for double the fun.
The Southold Vilage Merchants annual Fourth of July parade was also rescheduled for Saturday at noon, as was the New Suffolk Civic Association’s parade, rescheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m.
