Carl E. Hiller, of Calverton, died August 5, 2014 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Port Jefferson. He was 86 years old.
Hiller was born in Brooklyn on June 23, 1928, the son of Conrad and Elsa (nee Schempf) Hiller.
Hiller served in the U.S. Navy from 1946-1948. Educated at New York University and Hofstra University, he worked as a financial analyst for Pfizer, Inc. In his off time he enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by his wife Mildred, his daughter, Arlene McGrath and her husband Doug, his son Robert and his wife Lena, and by six grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 7 from 2 to 5 p.m. at McLauglin Heppner Funeral Home, 336 Marcy Avenue, Riverhead. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, August 8 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Riverhead. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetary.
