The carousel at Mitchell Park will get another feather in its proverbial cap as the upcoming National Carousel Association Convention heads to Greenport on September 17.
“This is a tremendous honor, and approximately 200 visitors involved in the NCA from the U.S. and Canada will gather in Greenport,” said Greenport Village Clerk Sylvia Pirillo.
A presentation is slated to be held at the carousel at 7 p.m., which is scheduled to include a brief history of the carousel, and of the village.
